Bio

ZAMAN 8 was founded in San Francisco, by guitarist Dan Newman and vocalista Sanaz Ebriani, with a mission to create an energetic and original sound influenced by an array of international genres. The sonic journey travels across a vast soundscape including Middle Eastern phrasings, Afro-Beat polyrhythmics, Brazilian and blues melodics resulting in an integrated world electronic aesthetic. Zaman (za-maan) in Farsi and Arabic means time, duration, age or era. The number 8 flipped to its side is the infinity sign. The name resonates deep with our desire to create music that will connect you to the past, present and future.

Its no secret that I love your music! I prescribe it and recommend it to people all the time. It has totally been audio therapy for me often. I absolutely love "Sani(Saturn)" and "Mangala(Mars)" - so hypnotic..

Great beatS! I love all the places you go with your songs! I'd say perfect for six degrees lable, mixing the world sounds with an excellent drum and effects production. Mangala reminded me a little of Gotan project. wow, I love the blend in this song!

Seen you on the Fuzzpile and had to stop by and check out what I've been missing. I really dig the track "Endless Reverie." Love the erotic flow of the drums and vocals. A very very sexy track!
